MedicScan does not need an external power plug because it acquires its power from the USB cable connected to the computer. It scans images in seven different formats and scans resolutions from 50 dpi to 600 dpi. MedicScan is user friendly with all the functions made available on the main screen. The only software requirement to use MedicScan is that it runs on one of the following Window based operating systems: Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows 2003 Server.

MedicScanOCR - powered by ScanShell™ - is able to scan both sides of an insurance card in a matter of seconds and save as a BMP, JPEG or other definable file.
MedicScanOCR automatically launches when a card is placed into the scanner and the scanned image/text file can be pinned to the desktop for easy data entry into practice management software.
MedicScanOCR also allows you to predefine image standards upon setup, including preferred file format, resolution, color scheme, and even naming conventions.
